Hiring Manager: I grow tired of this applicant we interviewed two weeks ago. He is calling and asking us questions about when we will make our choice. Will he not learn? I think we should continue ignoring him and not even tell him if he was not picked. That would be expected. People do not want to hear from us right? So we will not even respond. Boy we are gonna save millions by not bothering to respond to applicants as well as the ones we actually interview.

Everyone else in the room: Excellent idea sir! We will be RICH!

And here is what they were:

I can't say I blame them about not being selected. I am just glad they sent this cookie cutter letter instead of not responding at all like many companies love to do. This letter was really cut and dry and very non offensive, this is one of the better written letters except for the part about matching my resume to future jobs?come on! So to test that, I went to their site and found a job I was interested in. Instead of resubmitting my resume, I just submitted an email stating I was interested and to use the resume already on file. And guess what, three days later I got a response back saying to submit a resume.

Comments from a Staff Member:

At least they responded, several companies do not even bother contacting you after the interview(s).
